Senior Boys soccer
On Friday 13th of December the Senior Boys soccer team took on Cistercian College Roscrea in the league.
Within the first 10 minutes of the game Miko Pasalic scored a brilliant goal, And with the help of Sam Dooley, Miko was able to set up Christopher Bahon for the 2nd goal of the match. A penalty was taken by Sam Carey but a good save from the CCR keeper kept it out. The back line of Paul Dooley, Gearoid Maher, Jack Moloney and Killian Fitzpatrick were able to keep CCR scoreless for the first half.
The half time score was left at 2-0.
The boys started well in the second half with Eoghan McLoughlin scoring a goal after 2 minutes. Ruramai Havatitye followed this and scored with another assist by Miko. Substitutions were made where James Sampson and Josh Loughnane were brought onto the field. 18 minutes into the second half James Sampson scored with Paul Dooley getting the assist. Sam Carey and Eoghan McLoughlin working hard and always keeping pressure on the CCR back line led to them getting a penalty which Cathal McDonald managed to score. More substitutions, brought on Sean Maher, Ryan O’Callaghan and Om Issen. A brilliant corner taken by Eoghan McLoughlin sent the ball straight into the box where Ryan O’Callaghan headed it and left James Sampson to score. An unlucky break led to CCR scoring a goal in the last few minutes.
Leaving the final score as 7-1 to Coláiste. Well done boys on another brilliant win.

6th Year Galway on Ice trip
Our 6th years took to the ice in Galway on Monday last and even managed to sneak in some last minute Christmas shopping!
U15 Boys Soccer League Title
Congratulations to our minor boys who claimed the league title with a 7-0 win versus Gael Choláiste Cill Dara. Well done boys on another great achievement.

Senior Hurling Munster Champions!
Congratulations to our Senior Hurling Team who are Munster Champions after beating St Munchin’s College Limerick 4:12 to 2:13. A huge thank you goes to managers Willie Smyth and Conor Sheedy for all of their hard work and dedication with the team. Well done to joint captains Gearóid Maher and Sam Dooley who led their team to a well-deserved victory!
U14 Camogie
Congratulations to our Under 14 Camogie team who defeated Borrisokane on an impressive score-line of 9-06 – 3-03. Well done girls!
TY Bucket Collection
TY Students made a donation of €650 to Sr. Mona Maher for Colomo Primary School, Uganda. This was twenty per cent of funds raised from their Street Collection. A huge thank you to the people of Roscrea who contributed on the day. Wishing you all a Happy and Peaceful Christmas
Christmas Service
Our school closed out the year with two fabulous Christmas services for both Junior and Senior House. Well done to those who sang hymns, played instruments, and read prayers for both services. A huge thank you goes to both the Religion and Music department for organizing the services. We wish all of our staff, students and their families a happy and peaceful Christmas.
