LCA Trip to Ballyhass
Our LCA students recently enjoyed a team-building trip to Ballyhass where they basked in the sunshine and enjoyed a wide variety of activities. Adrian Pataki was awarded a certificate for his axe throwing skills. Thanks to the teachers and SNAs who travelled with the group and facilitated such a worthwhile and enjoyable experience. Thanks also to the staff of Ballyhass who looked after our students so well.
CAMOGIE Senior B Championship Match CPR v Loreto Fermoy
On the 10th of October, the Senior girls played the first round in the Senior B Championship against Loreto Fermoy. In the opening few minutes Niamh Pyne pulled off some amazing saves which helped drive the girls on. Roisin Phelan opened the scoring with a free from distance. Laura Hogan created good chances and ran the ball very well. The defence was very prominent in helping to stop the Fermoy attack. In the 28th minute Ciara Crofton scored a point which helped CPR come back into the game. Grace Cleary worked continuously hard all game. Half time score CPR 0-2 to Loreto 2-4
The opening of the second half Roisin Phelan scored a goal which brought CPR back into the game. The 6 backs defending the CPR goal worked really hard. Once again Niamh Pyne pulled off some astonishing saves. Half time sub Mary-Kate Cleary came on and secured a second CPR goal. Roisin Phelan hit over another free which brought the game to 3 points. Once again the backline continued to fight the Loreto attack. Nicola Cleary made a super solo attack and scored a superb point. Unfortunately it wasn’t the girls day today as the Loreto attack was just too strong. Full time score CPR 2-4 Loreto 2-11
